Need help building a Corsair retrofit
I just bought the Corsair Flight deck Cruiser Retrofit yesterday and i dont knew how should i build , i have barely 16 rare borg salvages for mark XI weapons, so i'm asking for your help, it s stats are :
Hull : 36k
Fore weapons : 4
Aft weapons : 4
Hangar bay : 1
BOFF : 1 Lt Commander Tactical , 1 Lt Commander engineer, 1 Commander engineer, 1 ensing science and 1 Lt Commander science
Device : 4
Consoles : 2 tactical, 4 engineering, 3 science
Trun rate : 8
I tought about building it as a Beam boat like my vo'quv wich was my main ship but the dps doesnt seem to have realy improved.
With the Voquv you can put out more dps due to fact that its a science ship and it has the extra hanger. The flight deck cruisers are built for versatility, you can make a decent beamboat out of it as well as a great healoat.
2 beams, 4 turrets, bio neural, harpeng.
Thanks for your answers, i knew that this isn't an escort ship but a support/ healing one and having a decent dps is realy handy in pve.
With the improved turn rate and the small size it is easier to get in the right angle to fire all beams than the Vo'quv but the loss of dps is maybe due to the fact that i had attack pattern Beta on the second.
I tried Emergency power to weapon 1 and 2 and it realy improved my dps, i tried 4 beams aft / 3 beams and harpeng, each beam have a dps between 400 and 750 when EPTW is on.
Any ideas for improvement ?

Rotate: TSS3+EPTS1+EPTA1+DEM1+DEM2+A2SIF3+ApD1+WEAPON BATTERY+TB2 to attack foes.
Use ST1, PH1, HE2 as needed.

Answer those 3 questions or any build on the ship may fail given you may be at odds with what you have trained in and what doffs you have access to.
I don't use the Corsair, but I do use it's uglier, older brother, the Marauder Flight Deck Cruiser (aka "Pig Carrier), but the same rules apply. I will intentionally limit the Z-Store consoles. (with 1 exception)
HANGAR: Advanced Slavers - Pay the dilithium for them; worth every dime.

2 Beam Arrays
1 Torp Your choice, but one that can be modified
1 Torp, your choice (Hargh Peng is my fave)
Consoles (for STFs)
Neutronium, Monotanium and Electrceramic. This gives you 33% (roughly) to kinetic AND plasma damage resist on hull (get other consoles and swap as needed). Plasmonic Leech - this, IMHO, is a MUST HAVE if you fly this ship. You will need the extra juice for all of your systems.
Shield Emitter Amplifier
Borg Uni Console
Tac: Consoles that adhere to your weapon flavor of choice. Don't use any torp boost consoles as the 2-Pc KHG effectively gives you a free one.
Tac Lt: TT1, T:S2 (If you eschew Torps entirely, go with B:O)
The rest are up to you, really, but I would encourage you to have Eject Warp Plasma to help you in slow down Borg vessels, especially if you pug and people don't know the correct methods of playing them.
My current build is a smidge different from this, but I found this VERY effective in STFS.

Thank you for you suggestions, i tried manys builds but the on that seems to works the best is full beam boat with plasmonic leach console, consistant damage with great healing/support abilites make this ship awesome it is my main right now after i have tried many
