Prototype drops
 

I have noticed many players complain about
Not getting the prototype Tech drops even
Though they have done many successful missions

I have a suggestion I'n regards to that

When you earn the acolyade for the mission
I believe it's 50 missions the prototype tech is
Granted to you even if you already have it.

I've already got many from each STF I guess
My drops were luck.

There is no good reason to not have the prototype
Tech if you have earned the accolade for the
Mission

Also I think it would be great if someone could
Put a prototype Tech into the need or greed loot
For the other players if they decided they didn't need it

A message could flash to the other players

Jellico has placed prototype tech ( shield )
As a gift to the special task force group

Then let it go as need or greed to the other players

The only problem is then you'd have players like me who just auto click need almost without bothering to look lol. Or are just being greedy.

I just returned from a 2 months exile, and before now, I got proto tech, often enough, not to make me complain.

I returned today, and I played two infected space elites. guess what I got? from one, I got one proto salvage, and BOTH(!!!!) the ISE runs gave me a proto shield tech at the end... lulz. I thought they did something in the last months, thats why I got them :D (though I already had them, but at least I made some credit selling them)

i have so many protos and rare protos its unreal, some id like to share with my other alt's but all i can do is trade them for dil, might be worth looking into a prog that scans the alt's in the mission if they have the MK XII full gear, then give the proto to some one that hasnt

But Mr. timelord - now we will no longer have "I NEVER GET PROTO DROPS OMGBBQ" threads, but now will have "OMG the requirements for MK XII I have to grind I'll never get my set OMGBBQ" threads

Srsly though, it turns the mk xii hunt into a straight up grind. There's no longer the random chance to actually get this stuff on the first run. For some people this may be good, for others, this may be an annoyace.

I really don't know what the answer is, it would be nice to see the drops increased. What's the point? Why drop rate as low as it is?

The drop rates are super low because they are designed to be hard to get. The only catch is that a lot of the missions are just as insanely difficult and the drop rate isn't necessarily proportionate to the crazy difficulty of the misisons, especially ground.
