Fabrication Engineer question

Does anyone know if the combat drone proc on these guys can affect the holographic combat drom the MACO Photonic BO summons? just curious as im not gonna waste a ground Doff slot for one if it doesnt since I dont have any other BO's that summon drones and im not an Engineer.

MACO photonic BoFF is pay2win BoFF and assuming the other "party" doesn't have that BoFF, you'll win without placing any DoFF in ground section on your ship.

Fabrication engineer skill is removed from the game.

Fabrication engineer DoFF definetly affects the "support drone fabrication" ground ability. In the case of MACO photonic BoFF, his "drone summon" is actually a trait, not a ground ability, as he is not an engineer but tac BoFF. You may easily test if it works on any ground part of any mission, replay Azura mission for example. I mean, sorry but noone answered and I don't have MACO BoFF to test it myself.

Well, for anbyone else who is wondering. i spent like 20 ground missions with it with a white Fabrication Engineer doff... not a single spawn of a second one. so im going to assume it only works on engineer spawned drones, like the security escort doff doesnt boost the shard of possibilities spawns.

It doesn't surprise me that it wouldn't work on the MACO officer's drone, but it does work on Support Drones of boffs with that ability.

As a note- there are two types of drones an engineer can possibly summon; Support Drones (innate Engineer Captain power and Rank I can be trained to boffs) and Seeker Drones (kit power).

The MACO officer's drone may be in its own category, but even if not, it would be considered a Seeker Drone. Those aren't affected by the Fabrication Engineer, anyway.
