Should Disney buy Star Trek next?
 

Hi guys been a long time. But after this new news with Disney, it ot me thinking. With them Buying up different franchises like The Muppets, Marvel and now Lucusarts. Should the next one be the Star Trek franchise?

I don't know about you guys, but maybe this is the bigger shot in the arm we need too. Just saying. What do you think?

Well if disney came to them with a huge number, I can see them giving it up. But it's my nice dream hehe.

Why shouldn't Trek suffer the same fate as the better franchise ?

You wouldn't like the Disney treatment to Trek , or the Disney name pasted next to it ? "Disneys Star Trek" has a nice ring to it, all Trek lacks is some kid friendly Borg princesses and droids.

What the hell, is Disney becoming the Borg? Oh Great, then what? A Star Trek animated Musical? Touchstone Pictures, OK maybe, but Disney? That would be driving a big ass stake in the heart of the franchise.
It wouldn't be a shot in the arm for Star Trek, it would be friggin euthanasia.

I'd really like to see Star Trek's rights consolidated. Paramount having a say on whether CBS can explore a TV show reboot sickens me.

I'd gladly add my technological and biological uniqueness to Disney's, because it would make everything so much more epic than Epic Mickey.
