The new embassy science consoles

I'm the only one who is afraid of them ? Especially the healing proc ? I'm so glad the borg set is changed to reduce the tankyness of escorts, but at the same time another healing proc is added back to the game

Is there an overview of all the new consoles and their stats anywhere?

There are several variations on these new consoles.

Each console adds one property from each of these three categories:

Category 1: Either increased or decreased threat generation.

Category 2: A bonus to a Science skill, i.e. Starship Sensors.

Category 3: One of three additional powers.
a) 2.5% Chance to restore Shields when you are hit.
b) 2.5% Chance to restore Hull when you are hit.
c) 2.5% Chance to add a Plasma DoT on Directed Energy weapon attacks. (Essentially, adding the Plasma proc to a non-plasma weapon.) If your weapon is already a Plasma weapon, this adds Plasma damage to that weapon instead.

Thus, a sample item might have +threat generation, +starship sensors, and a 2.5 Chance whenever your shield is hit to proc a shield heal.

Something like this...

So you can build uber-healers with it, but also uber-offensive ships... shouldn't that balance out?

Hm ? How does plasma dot, cleared by the most common science heal everyone and their mother has create uber-offense ships ?

But maybe it's just my default skepticism towards Cryptic changes, but I do not have good feeling about this tbh.

I can imagine that buffing Flow Caps might be a nice help for Tetryon Glider, to counter shield heals, and the plasma DoT (buffed by bonus to particle gens) is a nice addition to counter hull heals and circumvent strong shields.

It would be revolutionary, (in a good way) if the heal procs from the new Rep system, be it consoles, Doff, passives whatnot ..... wouldn't tripple the assim borg proc healing in pretty much 95% of matches.

I doubt it.

LOL, now who is the skeptic here !

And there are the new passives. Wasn't there something like 10% chance to have 10% of your shields restored if you are hit by a crit? But only works once every 15 sec or something like that? Also I think there were other shield/hull reg things. And there was a 3% more crit chance passiv.
Of course you always have to choose at each tier what to get but some things looked really nice last time I was on tribble.

We will have to wait and see how things work out with S7. Unless you want to grind on tribble and test stuff there isn't much we can do.

If I'm reading this right does it mean a plasma weapon would have its base dmg increased? Maybe a use for plasma then??
