Chimera/Pegh'u Too Weak to be 1000 day ship

Anyone else thinks so? Especially with the new Vesta coming out.

Chimera/Pegh'u should be the most powerful in-game ship. Period.

I honestly find mine to be quite powerful. What's your build?

reginamala78 11-13-2012 08:48 PM

Nope. An exclusive escort with better hull than fleet ships, two special powers from one console, and two universal boffs, all seems pretty powerful to me. Overpriced and too often flown by idiots maybe (not always, or even majority, but enough to make me nervous when I'm teamed with one), but the ship itself looks pretty powerful to me.

My only complaint is the lack of a 10th console slot, otherwise the ship is pretty awesome.

Omega Mk12 Set
Advanced Fleet Weapons

Lt. Comm Tac: Tac1, Volley2, Volley3
Ensign Engineer: Epts1
Comm Tact: Tac1, CRF1, CRF2, Omega3
Lt. Engineer: Eng1, RSP1
Lt. Sci: HE1, Pol1

Also have Maco Mk12 Set, don't feel much stronger than the Omega one.

I actually don't agree with this at all that much, especially since they made it a lifer perk and not a vet reward. I agree that it's not very impressive since it was originally supposed to be a lot more B>A> than it is, It's done pretty well for me, but if i were to have it done differently i'd have made 3 variations, that way it unlock as a class based ship depending on the character class allowing a normal mode that is shared between the three as well as a class mode which would in turn help you be more efficient as the class you are.

Needs a 5th tac IMO, or at the very least another console

Honestly this thing excells as a multi target ship. try swapping the ltc for a sci and take grav well. Or you can make it prety tanky with a ltc eng and an aux2bat to keep your skills up most of the time.

Also you didn't mention consoles or what type of weapons you are using. OR what captain for that matter.

Let me say this as simply as I can.

No. Especially to the Italicized and Bolded portion.

While we're at it, why don't we just make the Light Cruiser and Lt Level B'rel BoP have 27 consoles and teleport abilities with no cd. Also let's make the Odyssey and Bortasque have only 1 console each and unable to turn. AND let's take the Fleet Defiant and Fleet Qin and put all their tactical consoles and into science and engineering. Lastly, let's take the Vesta, take away ALL of it's consoles, weapons, deflector, shields, and device slots.

Because each of those above ideas are about as sensible as what you are suggesting.
