What Can You Tell me About Doffs?
So I have just discovered or heard about the deffinitions of Doffs and I went to see what they were about. I am still trying to understand what they might be or how to get them but I looked in the tab where you get them and I was not sure if they cost money or anything to get them. I would like to know: What do doffs do? How can I get them to improve my ship?

There is a nice guide stowiki ...

They can improve your ship by putting them on active duty, giving you some passive bonuses.

That's pretty much it:)

So, where in the Academy do you go to find duty officers? Where are they located at and how do you do the missions?

The round building near the water has two contacts, Lt. Ferra is the main contact for rewards, and the Personnel Officer has the main recruitment assignments. There's also cultural exchange officers around the grounds for several race-specific recruiting assignments.

To do missions, you just click the Assignments tab in the doff window, pick an assignment (there's sector-wide ones everyone sees, Personal ones only you see, and then your department heads have sets that normally only you see, but anyone invited to your ship interior are also able to see), assign doffs to match the slots, and start it. The doffs will leave to do the job, and return after a fixed time. Finished assignments go in the Completed tab where you can review what happened and claim rewards.

So I started doing one Doff Assignment, does that mean that I have to do that assignment within two days or does it do that on its own?

The time is how long it will take once you start it. DOFF Assignments are basically fire and forget until it's completed.

Yep, doffs do all the work. You just do the planning.

Or if you're like me, you rubber stamp your first officer's suggestions and collect the rewards. A true leader!
