Should i or should i not use respec on this built? Please help..
Hi folks, i would like u guys help me with my built a bit since i want to be better PvP-er and all suggestions are more than welcome.
I`m tac captian, but i also have 2 sci chars, but this toon rly need some attention. Note; this built might look rly bad but it was long time ago when i have done it. It works good in PvE, but in PvP... well, as u can see i have rly poor resistance to power drain/disable abbilities. if you are going to use a wells you should know in advance what abilities you'll be using. hint: particle and graviton generators are an excellent choice for CC and dmg.
Starship sensors...useless. 9 points in abilities...mostly not woth it, except for maneuvers and targeting systems. some skills profit from a seventh point just as if it was the sixth, in other words the 8th point will have less benefit than the 7th. for orientations, really usefull list. |

This is very similar to the build I currently use. You can take points out of Efficiency and Potential and put them into Sensors if you like, or you could use the points from ID, but since it'll likely get changed soon I wouldn't recommend it. |

But of course that was a little while ago (Around season 5 maybe EARLY Season 6). Again, the above is just my personal opinion on the matter. Oh, one other note:
I personally spec into Subsys Repair. Now the jury is out on this one, and we're really not quite sure how it works or what it actually affects yet. But I was getting sick of five-second phaser procs (this was back when carriers were really, really popular, and everyone used Danubes) so I dived in head-first and did a respec. Subsys Repair cuts into phaser procs hard. With 6 pointss I don't really notice phaser procs at all. Now this isn't for everybody, for sure, and there are costs in ranking it, but I felt I should put it out there just in case. |
Here how my spec looks like now, I`m very happy with it, it`s rly good DD, and also i can survive moar now. Originaly there was 6 pts in threat control, i took 3 pts from there and placed them into EP systems and few pts in sub repair. Flows are maxed out bcs i`m using polaron wps on Fleet patrol escort, on defiant i use phasers. Also i`m looking foarward to run this on an fleet MWAM that i will hopfully get in month or so (X-mas sale hopefully)
