Mens Winter Coats Need to Be Reversed
In western fashion, all mens button-up clothing folds left-over-right, and womens clothing folds right-over-left. Although this might not seem important, it's a very standard rule in the clothing industry that's been followed for several centruries.
Commonly, graphic artists tend to overlook this when designing characters for video games. The Winter Coats in Star Trek Online have also been subject to this type of error. It may seem like a nit-pick, but as of now all the Winter Coats being offered in Star Trek Online are technically womens clothing. A simple reverse of the mens coats will fix this problem. Here are a few articles for reference: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suit_(clothing) http://www.ravistailor.com/news.php?ItemNo=114 http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Why_do_men...ight_over_left http://answers.yahoo.com/question/in...3093539AAByqTd http://www.mycustomtailor.com/custom...uit_Jacket.htm |
No it looks good the way it is, there is no need.
|
Truly a critical issue in need of immediate attention.
|
I am not entirely shure how the game has even progressed over the past 2 weeks, with a flaw of this magnitude.
|
It's certainly not a game-ending flaw by any means. I'm sorry if it's not as "crucial" as having the wrong texture on a cannon uniform, or the placement of a combadge, but it IS a mistake, and one that can be fixed very easily.
Isn't that what this art feedback forum is for? |
It really doesn't matter, I have a jacket that buttons up on that side, it's definitely a male jacket. It's not really an error, especialy compared to some of the other STO uniform errors, TWOK ranks, or the TNG jumpsuits.
|
And I thought I was the only one who noticed that error. Just thought cross dressing was the "in" thing this winter.
|
Sorry but i can't live with this insufficiency, bye! *jump out of the window* ;)

"Western Fashion" is a term that hardly applies in 25th century gender neutral fashion for humanoids of many species. There is nothing that needs to be fixed here.

I wonder if they got the tags on the correct sides?
