A question or two

Hello.
I want to try out the foundry (never done it before)! I have gone to the Create Content tab on the logon screen, but it wont let me. I also cant buy a foundry slot. Why? Is it down or cant silver players use it?

Thanks

How many character slots do you have? You need at least one free to access Foundry editing.

I have used my Federation and Klingon slot, so none free at the moment. I need to get an empty slot then. When I do, do I have to buy a foundry slot on top of that?

I just got 2 more character slots and it still wont work

You have to create a corresponding foundry character. (For testing purposes) When you click the create content button you should have a create character button. Make sure you pick the faction appropriate for the missions you want to make. AKA Klingon faction characters can't be used to test Starfleet faction mission.

Once you do that if you are a free player, you'll need to purchase some Foundry slots (I think) to create missions.

I could be wrong on some of this, it's been a long time since I started from scratch and much about it i'm sure has changed.

I have 2 free char slots, and on create content screen it will not allow me (they are grey and unclickable) to add a char, nor buy foundry slots.

It has been a while since I have done it as well, but from what I remember, you need to create the foundry test character (as mentioned above) -and- spend 10,000 dilithium to buy 4 foundry slots.

Each mission that you create takes up 1 foundry slot; however, F2Pers don't start off with any foundry slots. You will have to purchase them each time you use them all up.

So, press the 'Create Content Tab' which is on the character selection screen of the login process and located above your character names.
Then create a character to do the testing with.
Then at the bottom of the window with your new character, you should see a button labeled 'Buy Foundry Project Slots.'

Kirkfat made a great tutorial on it at http://starbaseugc.com/index.php/tra...-i-by-kirkfat/

Have fun
And welcome to the foundry :)

Thanks, but as I said, it will not allow me to either create a Foundry Character (I do have 2 free slots) or buy foundry slots.

It could be that you don't have enough Dilithium in reserve to actually by the slots. Like I said, it's been a while since I had to do this, well before the F2P stuff came out.

Yes! I got 10000 dilithium and now I brought some slots. Thanks.
