Submit your custom Transporter pad

One asset that is sorely lacking in the foundry are transpoter pads. They only exist in pre made cryptic maps. This is a pad I just designed http://fc06.deviantart.net/fs71/i/20...es-d5si0we.jpg image 2: http://fc01.deviantart.net/fs70/i/20...es-d5si0f3.jpgHow do you work around this limitation? please post screenshots of your work.

well, from the very beginning we have been lamenting this problem, and working around it. Over time, the gang at StarbaseUGCC worked out some variations on transporters to use, here, for example, is the first rendition of one I did for a mission: Here

Of course, the design has evolved over time, as new ideas and items come up, such as here and here

That last one looks like a very solid TOS transporter, although I don't know whether the globe at the top is necessary.

unfortunately, there arent any good containment beam emitter stand ins (I would be happy for just a light fixture thats round) so the globes are as good as I have found so far. (those are light - ceiling 03 as I recall)

I agree the last one looks prety good.

Best that I can do, but I'd rather use a Cryptic-made prop instead of spending 2 hours messing around with junk.

what's the hexagonal peice used in the floor of the first? the top of a crate?

drogyn1701 01-24-2013 10:25 AM

Its the top of a table, as are the round ones. I know the round ones are a Cardassian table, can't remember what the other one is called, generic table maybe?

Enh... not a FED transporter, but it's a servicable transporter pad for other races.

Components used:
Light - Ceiling L 03 (globes above pad)
Crate - Generic S 01 (small hexagons on pad)
Table - Klingon Ship L 05 (Large Hexagons)
Building Block Platform Disc 20x20 01 (ceiling and base discs)
Light Klingon Wall 01 (left and right wall peices)
Light Klingon Wall 02 (center wall peice)

One refinement to this design would be to move the crate and table peices down a little. they're a bit too high off the floor.

I like using the wap connectors and platforms. Simple and easy to modify to the space available.
