Trading Channel
 

I created a channel for the traders in zone chat.

Please join the global channel called BUY-N-SELL in your global channel list. Lets keep a centralized location for all your trading needs for those whole don't use the exchange. It's new, fresh and a lot shorter name... Why waste chat box space on a name? lol

RULES:

• Do not troll the channel. No un-needed comments on someone's trade.
• No general chit-chat. Use for trading only.
• No "deceptive" or "shady" traders or trades allowed.

More rules to come if the channel gets abused.

Please report all abuses to myself or operator (when it gets some) so it can be dealt with appropriately.

Has this channel been closed?. I heard one or two chatters last week and it's virtually silent ever since. I reset my chat settings to make sure there is nothing at my end to no avail. Does anyone else know about a similar or updated "trade" channel

They don't allow off-topic chat, and they do't allow comments on trades, so basically all you'll get in there is "X is for sale" and a price. There could be 1 person in there, or 100, it'll still be really quiet. Channels need chat to seem alive, without it... what's the point? All you'll get is a new subscriber that adds the channel, sees nothing being said for ages, then probably leaving again because it's a waste of time being on it anyway.

I'd second Lake's recommendation for TheTradingChannel though, the moderators seem reasonable and I've gotten a few decent trades through it.

Mindless dribble in the channel does not keep a channel alive. It keeps it on topic and what it is designed for. Look at doffcalls and doffjobs for example. Two of the most successful channels in the game imo.
