Battle Cruiser, Warship, both or Neither?

I have gone throughsome of some of the material and now have an enigma that is frustrating me. Perhapse people can explain it to me.

Early in DS9, the Jem'Hadar attack ship made its appearance in "The Jem'Hadar". It was later seen in "The Search", but was refered to as a Jem'Hadar battle Crusier. In these first encounters, the attack ship was easily a match for the Defiant and most capital ships such as the Galaxy and Nebula. Starting with "In Purgatory's Shadow", a new ship was seen called the Jem'Hadar Warship. This ship became the major enemy capital ship while the attack ship became easy pickings, "the red shirt" of the Dominion, so to speak. Of course, the Dominion Battleship later appeared in "Valiant" which became the "superbad" dreadnaught feared by alpha quadrent powers.

In the Star Trek Encyclopedia, there was an entry for Jem'Hadar Battle Cruiser described as a carrier for the small attack ships. Later, edition 3 had both a Battle Curiser and a Warship entry. Both used similar graphics, but one was mostly blue, and the other was more purple, and the one looked like an upside down and backwards version of the other from a profile view. The third edition also showed a profile of the Battleship which was idetifyably different from the other Dominon capital ship.

My question is this. Is the Jem'Hadar Battle Cruiser one and the same as the Jem'Hadar Warship? Memory Alpha seems to support this assumption, but I am still not statified with their explination. Is this the Heavy Escort seen in STO? It seems to me that the Heavy Escort, Battleship, and Jem'Hadar Dreadnaught all look the same to me.

Afaik the battle cruiser is a much smaller design that resembles the jem heavy escort more than the dread and is on par with a sovereign class.

The dread is, well...It's the dread :D

The heavy escort carrier is a STO original design.

Sometimes names get interchanged a lot on shows. this can either be due to the writer just being a bit sloppy with his words or a mix up between the writers and the fx guys

there are 3 dominion ships in the show. as with lots of things they sometimes get their sizes mixed up when being displayed on screen but there was only 3. the heavy escort version is STO only.

the attacks ships were never a match for the defiant one on one. in the search it was a 3-1 situation and the first good hit the defiant got ripped it to pieces.

the main advantage the dominion had early on is their weapons passed right through feds shields, meaning all contact went straight to the hull. once they fixed that the attack ships became more like large fighters and less of a threat.

the warship is the middle sized one and is similar to a galaxy class ship,

the battleship (called a dreadnought in game) is their largest and most powerful

Okay, so the ship Weyon and Dukat used in "Call to Arms" is the Warship/Battle Crusier. That is the Battleship and the Ship first seen in "Valiant" is the Battleship. The former is the "Battleship" in STO and the later is the Dreadnaught. Have I got this right?

As for Dominion mobs, I would l like to see more STO unique ships.
