Graphics Guru Question
 

I am looking to upgrade my graphics card. I am running an hd6850:

It does the job but there are times when I cant run on max and there are a couple other games i play where it struggles.

I would like to step up to something with at least 1ghz Core Clock. Trouble is alot of the new 7000 series cards have stepped back to 128-bit interface. So, my main question is do MMO games take advantage of 256-bit memory or is it wasted. Secondly, how do I view the bandwidth currently being used? I assume its like a 64 bit OS in that if the application isnt made for it it wont take advantage of it.

Anyway, I mainly play MMO's. Mostly STO at the moment and I want to upgrade to a single card that will rock and roll for the next 2 years and of coarse i want to spend as least as possible :D
