just comparing skills, and eattin cookies


Boarding Party 3
( Removed with tactical team (so this is a skill everybody is using because nobody has tactical team, extremelly usefull))

Creates 3 level X+1 Boarding Party shuttles.
To self: -10 Crew per shuttle (Return if successful)
To target: 83% chance to Disable either Weapons, Shields, Impulse Engines or Auxiliary Subsystem for 10 sec.
To target: 90% chance to kill 8% or 4 crew (Whichever is less) per shuttle every 3 sec for 10 sec.
To target: 83% chance to add +4 sec (Delay) to recharge time to one of the following systems: Energy Weapons, Projectiles, Tactical, Engineering or Science abilities.


Photonic Officer 3
( Best cooldown you can get is 3 minutes so its really nice, lets use a photonic officer and not a gravity well, a viral matrix or a feedbackpulse! photonic officer rules the game, because it has a voice on it, nice)

28.6% recharge time reduction to Bridge Officer abilities for 60 Sec.


Attack Pattern Omega 3
( Not removable by any skill, but subnuke, minimum cooldown you can get ... no cooldown ! DOFFFF INNA HOUSE !!!)

+25% All Damage strength for 15 sec
+[25-37] All Damage resistance for 15 sec
+[132-152]% Flight Speed strength for 5 sec
+[132-152]% Flight Turn Rate strength for 5 sec
Immunity to Movement Debuffs for 15 sec
Immunity to Disable Debuffs for 15 sec
+[30-45]% Defense strength for 5 sec
Immunity to Teleport for 15 sec


Definitely there's nothing wrong with Attack pattern Omega beacuse it gives damage, resistance, defense, speed, turn rate, immunity to disable, immunity to teleport, and immunity to movement debuffs, plus a doff to reduce drastically its cooldown! but i dont want an underpowered skill like that on my ship :mad:
id rather use a sci officer and use the overpowered tachyon beam and charged particle burst set, it works fine :D

You cannot 'chain' Omegas even with DOffs, and the teleport immunity is rather pointless since there are basically one or two teleport skills in the entire game and they're seen extremely seldom still.

and god choice of skills, the best tac skill vs the 2 worst skills for sci and eng. Why u didn't take fbp or ewp

APO doesn't give immunity to disables. VMs will disable its movement or nuking its engine power in general.

It's a false comparison btw. You should compare high end Sci and Eng skills to APO, eg ES3/A2Sif3, VM3/PSW3.

Dont underestimate Boarding party 3.

This part of it is evil beyond recount:

And it cant be reset, removed or undone even after the boarding party is removed. Another thing which gives it advantage is that tac team wont work (correct me if im wrong) if you have no crew, so the Boarding team effect persists. I had saxfire use this on me, and my skills were reset to 3-4 mins and i couldnt shoot my beams cause they were on a 2 min cd.

WAT?!?!?! Glad someone told me, I better take my tac team off all my ships including my pure sci healer in a recluse!!!!

With 2 copies of APO and 2 doffs you can.

No... two copies and two DOffs will leave a 15 second window. You can sort of chain the higher-ranking version with double DOffs by going AP:O -> Delta -> AP:O -> Delta [...] but frankly this is of very limited usefulness for obvious reasons.
