Literary Challenge #38 : We'll Always Have New York

This is the comments thread for Literary Challenge #38 : We'll Always Have New York.
We also have an Index of previous challenges HERE.

Feel free to link directly to the entry you are commenting on. And please remember: we're not here to tear each other up. Do not troll your fellow Captains, give feedback! Let the others know what you liked and disliked. Maybe they can even go back then and tweak their entries!

Let's get those creative juices flowing!

Ohhhh, man...this is going to be a royal mess for Alyosha and anyone sent back with him. This will make for a very unhappy captain and crew...

And wow, I completely missed what the challenge was going to be. I was so sure Bran was going to do something related to the anniversary event! But what's awesome is...I HAD been doing some pre-writing for a time-travel prompt, and I can still use the intro I've already written. :D

EDIT: The material I'd planned before may well be unsuitable for the challenge. But we'll see if I can figure out something in time.

A rather interesting challenge.

Sadly, I don't have any ideas on this one. I'll read the other entries, though, like I always do.

Well, certainly not what I was expecting, but I can say that I might just be able to work my plot for what I was anticipating this one to be into this one.

Question: you say, the captain and crew, does that mean we traveled without the ship?

The background story is just a base to build your story off of. Feel free to include your ship or not. :)

Cheers,

My entry is up and a famous photo was my inspiration.

Hmm. I've been stewing on it and it's certainly a challenge. Although I want to link my crew's experience to an actual historical event in some way ... that is proving to be a avenue I'm no longer enthused about.

HMMM!!

Bran, just a heads up...I sent you a question regarding this challenge via the ticket system, if you wouldn't mind taking a quick look at it. Reference: #130206-000359.

Thank you. :)
