Whats the point of "add next project" slot for personal reputation projects?

- Project doesn't move forward since once it becomes active, it will still need to wait for your input of resources.

- Once entered there can't be cancelled, can be changed but can't be cancelled.

Makes sense for fleet projects because only leaders can queue projects and once the project ends the next project will automatically be active for members to contirbute.

The only good thing is see about it now is the browsing feature for all the available projects.

Point is, when the current projects would grant you a tier upgrade upon completion, slotting another one in each slot will let you use the resources for that tier rather than the increased resources for the next, for the same exp/dil payout.

That i believe is an exploit and bug.

Anyway, you can only queue for 1 cycle and the next project after that can't be unlocked unless you complete the upgrade project first.

Well, sometimes you can get 2. For example if you are at 30,000/32,500 reputation and your 2,000 and 800 reputation projects finish you collect the 2,000 reputation project first and then queue 2 more 2,000 reputation projects before collecting the 800 one. That way you can get 4,000 reputation/day for the first 2 days instead of only 2,800. In the end you max your reputation few days faster than you would normally but you spend more EC for it.

Its handy to stop you making a mistake. if you select it as the first project you cant change it. this at least gives you some leeway if you select the wrong one.

um, its just a recycled system from the star base, is it that hard to see why?

Starbase system, copy/past, done..

The starbase system came first and was copied to the personal system. So it has a legacy feature which doesn't really make any sense.

This. If you ever ended up making yourself an extra mk XII shield because you got briefly careless, you'd know why the queue slot is useful.

Which, of course, is only necessary because there is still no cancel option. ;)

It's there because the system is copypaste from fleet projects. It has its uses, but only to work around or exploit flaws elsewhere in the system.

To have proper use, it would need the ability to fill the project up with resources in advance, so it would automatically start when the last one finishes.
