Double Standards
How come when the Devs screw something up in a patch that we have paid for IE the Temporal Disruption device we have to wait a whole week for the next patch for them to fix their mistake however when they screw something up that will cost them money they resolve it instantly IE the new Andorian ship. So tomorrow we all have to have extra downtime probably scheduled in the middle of the "European" day again. It's not fair Cryptic you cannot have it both ways. So tomorrow the joy of more downtime for a ship that is going to make people who fly escorts even more invincible, oh joy!

When you said made them money....you pretty much answered your own question. :D
|
Not so sure about "more invincible". But after the recent FM ***storm and the slow reaction on their part, I assume they want to react fast for future patches/fixes. Better 1 day of forum rage then a week and see it spiral out of control.
|
From what Dstahl said, I think we can look forward to faster patches. :P
That being said, the Devs are still human and we should give them some screw up room. ;) |
Its opening weekend for a new ship. PWE needs your money, They would loose out on the players that have to have every new toy ASAP (like me). Its just good buisness.

Don't complain when they do the right thing, please. :)

1.) Moratorium on new content. Bugs more than a few weeks rarely get fixed in STO. The constant addition of new bug buries the old ones and they become part of the kruft. It is impossible to execute an aggressive debug and patch system when your target is constantly moving. 2.) Admission of prevalence of bugs. A minority of bugs reported by users actually get acknowledged in any way. Frankly I have no idea if their in-game reporting system even works or where the ideal place to submit them is. As such, we must assume that Cryptic simply doesn't know or care about the bulk of things that players find. Committing to fixing the game means taking a real look at everything people are desperately trying to get them to pay attention to, and admitting that yes there are bugs. Until you see these two things, it doesn't matter what Mr. Stahl says in front of a PR mic. We should continue to operate on the belief that fixing bugs is pretty low on Cryptic's To Do list. |

I've been playing Cryptic games for a while now. They're always on top of game breaking bugs and fix them as soon as they find the source of them. Any claims to the contrary are from people who haven't been paying attention. It's the WTF-I-entered-the-sector-backwards? stuff that gets ignored. YMMV on their importance. Between that sort of thing or the giant robots that punched you back to lvl 1 like in CO, you better believe they should choose the robots. |
is the bio-neural fixed too?
