Stuck at Retrieving List of Characters
 

I logged in and got to the new screen and the game crashed. Now when I log back in it's stuck at retrieving list of characters.

Been staring at the very same screen for about half an hour now.

Ditto....stuck at the same screen.

Getting alot of disconnects tonight....moreso than the last week of closed beta. I expected there to be some issues on the first day, but it seems the network/server issues Cryptic is having is worse than in closed beta. I'm sure in the next day or two they'll get it straightened out.

Same for me.. except I never crashed.

This is giving me bad flashbacks about Champions Online. I had this same problem repeatedly on that game...

I guess I was hoping you guys would've been a little more prepared this time.

You and every one els. Guys understand this is beta but FFS whats your backend server setup an 8086 processor running @ 8mhz. The loading times are totaly unacceptable and make the game unplayable!!! If you want this to succeed dont do what CPP did. Get your server infastructer right from day one and invest!!

Yup, same here can't get past "retrieving list of characters"

I have same issue now but I was in the game earlier. I pretty sure It has nothing to do with Windows Compatibility modes and everything to do with the servers being unable to handle the number of people trying to log in. They aren't setup to handle this many users.

same with me. about ten mins in i crashed on a loading screen and now when i log in i get stuck at retrieving characters.
