Untapped Ster trek races thread!

Voth from Voyager

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OW9ij_k1m4Y

They had a City Ship 100 times bigger than voyager. 20 million years in space would have brought technoligy that could keep the Borg on its knees even now!
T
The caretaker race. The very story of the voyager series. This race is very advanced!

The think tank this small group had abilities far beyond most races in the Delta Quadrent.

These are just a few from the Voyager series. What other advanced races with Technology for more advanced than Starfleet are possible stories and content for STO now!

The possiblities are limitess!!

Please list any races you remember from Any Star Trek series even the animated series!

Untapped races eh?

The Tellarites. This noble race of short statured pigmen founded the Federation and gave it the sheer stubbornness it needed to succeed against Vulcan obstructionism. With a rich and interesting history of space flight that stretches back well over 400 years this race is a font of interesting ship, story and mission ideas that has, thus far, gone entirely untapped.

whale probe people! well, not sure what we could do with that, but some super powerful space entity encounters would be cool, like nagilum, or chaotica, or that freaky casino that wont let you out. also the bynars could have some cool abilities. oh and future guy...

Okay I know this is unrelated but due to the way you spelled things it's deserving!

Ermahgerd! Erts Ster Terk!

But seriously. I agree that these technologies should have been adopted by now even with the timestream change and especially with timeships flying around, wouldn't their databases give us a better handle on things. Like the think tanks armor. where is the console for that because that would provide the best overall energy resistance.

But honestly since this team has an aversion to the superiority that science provides i doubt that they'll actually do anything about this lack of advancement because they can't even balance science skills properly honestly.

The only encounter I want with the whale probe people is one where we can shove several quantum torpedoes down their throats for their arrogance and carelessness.
Bonus points if we can drop humpback whale carcasses on them.

"Distant Origin" is my all-time favorite episode of Voyager. There are many Voth fans around here. And, based on what the devs have said from time to time, there is some consideration towards how they might be brought into the game. Keep your fingers crossed.

Tamarians really deserve a good shake. They were one of the notable races to join the Federation in the Path to 2409, but they seem to have just vanished into the cracks of Federation society.

You'll need some good health insurance for the writing staff, though. They're all going to get aneurisms writing their dialog.

I have to wonder if the Deferi were originally supposed to be Tamarians, because they strike me as very similar only switching incomprehensible babble for annoying smug talk about "balance".

The Sheliak....just so I can keep Them on hold.

I would like to see revisits to Iota, (piece of the action) to find out what they did with McCoy's communicator.

a story arc going to Ferengenar

we have the kitty people, but her know nothing about them

a run in with the First Federation maybe someone stealing a Fesarius class ship and raising hell.

for non-canon, I liked those bird people from the animated series
