About That Kumari Phaser Refund

I was soundly shot down by the Cryptic Defender's Klub when I posted that I didn't think it was fair to nerf my Andorian Phasers and only offer me a refund in Dil.

Now I have a few more facts I wish to share.

I received 126,000 Dil back from all the Phasers I bought.

I had a level I Starbase.

To raise the base to level II to get my replacement weapons cost me 15,000 XP at 18,000 Dil per 500 XP.

That was way over the refund, but now here is the real sinker.

Warning, this next image is not for the faint of heart and may put people off Starbases completely:

Did that cost enough resources!?

If you are still batting for the home team after that one, try this one to add to injury:

4 Days!?

Next time nerf the Dev, not my phasers.

You are being completley unreasonable OP. The phasers were bugged, had their stats fixed, and a full refund offered. If you choose to take that refund, its like you never bought them in the first place, you got all of your dil back. It's not Cryptic's fault that you want fleet weapons but choose to stay in your own personal fleet and take forever to upgrade it. Fleet weapons don't come with the Kumari purchase, and they won't just be handed to you because you want to stay in your bank fleet rather then join a real one.

Sorry, just because your bugged weapons were fixed doesn't mean you deserve anything more for free other then a full refund.

Just because some dev screwed up I am being punished for it.

That and not being a communist.

My weapons weren't bugged. They were nerfed and I was stolen from.

How are you being punished for it when you are receiving a refund? Your argument makes absolutley no sense, you are not being punished, you are just throwing a tantrum to try to get more free stuff. If they wanted to steal from you they wouldn't give you your dil back as refund, yet they did.

I also own the Kumari 3 pack, and bought a full set of 4 Andorian DHC and 2 turrets too, and I don't see the problem. If I want to, I can choose to turn them in for dil, but I haven't bothered yet as I see no decrease in effectivness of this "nerf" anyway.

I'm being punished because something of value I payed for is being diminished and offered a wholly inadequate compensation for such, just because someone made a mistake.

I don't want free stuff, I wanted my weapons to remain as I purchased them. They gave me no choice but to accept the refund after they broke my weapons because I have to climb their socialistic ladder to get them back.

If you haven't noticed a change in performance, then you must not do STFs or anything beyond PvE.

100% full refund is adequate, you are being made whole thus it is fully adequate.

You do realize that fleet andorian weapons are stronger then pre nerf dil store weapons, they are Mk XII acc x2 dmg x2, while the bugged dil store versions had mk XII stats but are only accx2 dmg. I pvp all the time withit but no problem.

But I wasn't made whole. They ruined my weapons then offered a refund. It's like a store boosting their prices then advertising a sale. They rip you off and some people defend them thinking they got a deal.

If it was not such a big deal then why did they have to break the already purchased weapons instead of leaving them as "Legacy" items of which there are still some in STO.

Looking forward to the even better Phasers then when I finally get there.

Can't wait to see how they nerf all those Romulan goodies coming up after people are happy with them.

I'm playing a nerf violin for you. You can't hear it, because its nerf.

LOL let me close by relating a RW story.

I own a Dodge truck and after making some venison goulash of one of the dumber bucks in the area I had a headlight replaced at the dealership because I was still under warranty.

Little did I know they were secretly thieves replacing OEM parts with cheap knockoffs. Mechanics being one of my hobbies, I caught them at it. They gave me a new headlight assembly which I found was a mislabeled Durango headlight assembly. When I went to return it they refused to give me the correct parts. I casually mentioned to a lawyer friend on one of my beats what they had done.

I now not only have racing headlights, but a waver from the city to have said headlights and that dealership? Well there's an empty lot there now.

Unfair business practices have a way of sneaking up on the perpetrators.
