Best weapons for Elite STF?

I see everyone running different weapons, (some on the same ship). What is the best for doing elite borg STF with an escort?

Arguably, the best weapons for PVE right now are the Romulan Reputation Weapons. They carry both the plasma and disruptor proc and their damage is further enhanced by the embassy science consoles. The Romulan weapons in combination with the Romulan Hyper-Torpedo, Romulan Experimental beam array, and Zero-Point console, which grant the ability Plasma Hyperflux, can enable you to do some really nasty damage.

Whichever items came out last will be strongest.

Yeah, but if grinding New Romulus looking for radiation samples and chasing around little fuzzy guys isn't your thing, Fleet-store MK12 AntiProtons (For increased crit chance and severity) are the way to go.

However, I'd argue that for E-STFs, your concern should be more about staying alive and completing optional objectives than doing a little extra damage. It's true that every little bit helps, but if you're dead, that's 10-30 seconds you're not contributing ANY damage. And if Probes reach their destinations, you can kiss your bonus (the only reason for DOING an E-STF over a normal STF) goodbye. That means heals, repulsors, slows, team buffs, etc.

Unless you're in a suped-up Atrox and can melt anything shy of 4-pips in 2 seconds.

The no bonus E-STF still yields three times as much Omega Marks und twice as much Dilithium ore as the normal STF. Even though it is annyoing to fail the optional, it sure isn't worth enough to be furious about.

Plasma (from Romulan rep, Fleet, whatever).

There is no perfect weapon against elite borg.

Many players like romulan plasma weapons (hate them), others like elite fleet (love them).

I run this ship:

I can complete elite STFs without dying (except Hive Onslaught).
You don't need a full Dps ship, i tried the kumari with full kumari set (insane dps but it was blown away at first torpedo LOL).

The best weapon for elite stfs is what ever you like the look of or enjoy more... So long as it is a heavy cannon and you don't mix damage types.

The rarity of your weapons and the proc are far less important then the base type and the abilities you use with them. Using white gear you can easily put out far more dps than many players using mk xii very rare gear simpy because so many players dont know how, or don't mind not using efficient ability and gear combinations.

Of course efficiency and fun are not always the same thing.

Disruptor/rommie plasma
AP

Beams or dhcs/turrets will work.

While this is true, i particularly like Plasma-Disruptor Hybrid Dual Heavy Cannons and the best part is that they're mission rewards.
