"Systems:

The Shield Offline proc from the Charged Burst Assault's secondary fire no longer lasts far longer than intended.
Plasma Infuser consoles now only affect Directed Energy weapon attacks.
The firing arcs of each of the following Abilities have been increased from 90-degrees to 135-degrees:
Subnucleonic Beam
Aceton Beam
Tachyon Beam
Tyken's Rift
Gravity Well
Viral Matrix
Breen Energy Dissipator Console
Graviton Pulse Console
The firing arcs of each of the following Abilities have been increased from 120-degrees to 135-degrees:
Isometric Charge Console
Magnetometric Overload Console
Known Issue: Hovering over these powers will not generate the correct Firing Arc overlay, but will instead show a 180-degree arc.

Honestly I'm happy with it in general. Makes it much easier to combine Sci with beams.

That said I'm not so sure the details are all that, ahem, perfect but oh well.

O and the plasma burn nerf flat out makes me want to flip tables.

I asked in the thread, but haven't seen a reply... did that change also affect the Rom consoles?

Good.

It was really hard getting enemies into the 90' arc with Sci ships before, maybe now we can actually use SNB/VM/Tyken's/GM/etc without having to sacrifice a crapton of DPS due to the loss of broadsiding.

Also, I have absolutely no idea that the Subspace Jump console exists, nor the fact that it is incredibly cheap and it's timer lines up perfect with SNB.

I for one approve of these changes to the arcs :)....too bad we have to wait for LoR to go live to use it on holodeck :(

so let me get this strait, my excellent build that uses plasma weapons, EWP3 and plasma torpedoes, all getting their plasma damage and plasma dot buffed thanks to the plasma energy consoles, is now getting all that synergy destroyed? because of the wimpiest damage skill in the game, plasma shockwave? because you thought it should not be buffed like every other plasma damage dealing thing in the game?

oh boy, i sure am liking this singularity crap now. guess i'll throw all those plasma weapons in the trash, theres no reason to self nerf by using them now. all them STF set shields make them worthless, but at least they helped out the DOTs i also ran. that plasma build, definitely not running it on any romulan ships now, i'll be switching to disrupters then.

what synergy are you going to destroy next? tac buffs buffing exotic damage too? there'd be exactly zero reason for a tac to use a sci ship then, or to use the breen ship, MVAM, ambassador, kamarang, and anything else with mid to high level sci skills. but by all means, go ahead and ruin more synergy, make the only thing that works in this game be escorts and DHCs. i guess the EPt skills being the worst skill change ever perpetrated on us just isn't enough is it?

And here I was, patting myself on the back, for finally figuring out a good plasma build that could kill bugships in my sci captained korath.

I think this is their grand scheme to force my kdf sci to play more like a sci captain than a weird sci-tac hybrid. :eek:

Also, what is a jump console? Never seen it :P

Plasma Infusers buffed DEW, DEW DoTs, Proj DoTs, and EWP.

It was too much. No other console does that.

Ambiplasma does Proj Kin and Proj DoT.

It brings the Plasma Infusers in line with other Tac consoles.

Proj DoTs and EWP lose out on the buff from the Infusers.

Plasma energy weapons are still bufffed by the Infusers, the 2pc Harness, the Rom Sci consoles.

Picture a ship running Phased Polarons, Quantums, and dropping EWP. If you wanted to buff each, you'd need to buff each.

That's all they've done here. If you're running Plasma Energy, Plasma Projectile, and dropping EWP...you've got to buff each.

by what metric was it to much? it was all plasma energy damage. stupid change, cant have anything but escort weapons be buffed to do high damage, noooooo
