Aquarius Destroyer
I'm eyeballing this ship and I'm trying to decide if I want to spend the fleet modules on the fleet version, or if I wanna settle for the normal. All of the stats seem to indicate it's inferior to the Fleet Defiant that I already own. No cloak or special ability, no 3rd weapon slot, etc. Anyone have any hands on experience with this ship? Also, does it come with a unique bridge of any kind? I know it's most likely not the case, but I'm trying to justify the cost of the platform.

Thanks in advance for any insight.

I don't have personal experience, but from what I've heard and what I can tell from the stats, it's under powered in almost every respect. I'm not saying you couldn't make it work, but it's a ship you should only fly if you really WANT to specifically fly the Aquarius.

I have it, and b4 season 7 hit it was a beast. and its still not bad now, but it takes some getting used to if u r used to flying a bigger escort.

It's inferior to other escorts in pretty much every way besides turn rate, I think. It doesn't have a unique bridge. Get it only if you really like the look.

Personally, if I wanted it, I'd save the fleet modules and just get the normal version. It should be suitable for basic PvE. That's if you have more fleet credits to spare, at least.

But yes, your Fleet Defiant is hands-down better. It's supposed to be in the top five escorts in the game.

The Aquarius is a "for fun" ship. It's not for people who want to do serious PvP or hard-core Elite STF grinding. If you're buying it you're doing so because you want to just have some fun using the ship. One of my alts uses it for Foundry missions and various Dailies. It's just fun to fly around in and "pretend."

It's a game. Buy it if you want to play it and you can afford it. I'm contemplating buying one myself for giggles.

There's a time for min-maxing, and there's a time for fun.
