What are you talking about?

You have to remember that not everyone on this forum can read Klingon.

Ok, people have had a day or so now to mull, let me explain what this is.

Back in the 90s, I ran a very successful TNG RPG at University of Guelph. One of the characters was a klingon, and her NPC husband was supposedly renowned as a warrior-poet. So, as the GM, I thought I should try my hand at writing a little poetry in Klingon!

I post it here for people's amusement, and to see if anyone can translate (testing both the translating skills of the community and my original translation...).

Just for fun!

slightly disappointed an online translator didnt help any in this thread :(

If it helps with trying to translate, Klingon uses a lot of compound words and suffixes. Try isolating the first three letters of each word and translating that first. Also, Klingon sentences always have the following structure: Subject - verb - object

Also remember it is poetry, so some things may make use of unusual imagery (and I think I did take some minor liberties with the word order here and there...).
