Why does it have to verify after crash?
 

I've had the game crash twice today. It has not crashed like this before. And when I restart the launcher, it has to take several minutes "verifying". What's going on?

this game, as with a lot of programs moves files around, when the game crashes those files might not get put back in the right place, if this happens the file breaks and no longer works the verification is simply making sure all the files are where they need to be and in one piece, this is a good thing even though it is annoying to have to wait. it would be worse if it didn't check and you merely couldn't run the program at all anymore.

If you don't want to wait just click cancel, and you will be able to start the client right away.
