Warp core, power levels and what that means for PvP
All in all, I'm a little concerned lol.
I fly a fleet patrol escort, committed all the good traits and I bought a warp core to boost my engines and shields from the dil store.
My current power levels are, after all the bonuses and warp core upgrades:
~125 weapons/~125shields/~90 engines/~50 auxpower
I don't even own a plasmonic leech yet.
I can keep these levels up pretty consistently cycling two diffent eptx, as long as I don't get sub nuked. Also, I'm not kidding myself, I know I'm a new kid on the PvP block so I'm sure someone will get even better power levels with careful minmaxing. I get worried thinking about how the l33t PvP gods will now become totally unkillable, more so than they were before.
edit: After reviewing the thread, it seems I might have confused a few folks. I get this much power after all bonuses and eptx powers activated (2), which I cycle with 3 purple damage control doffs.
I have noticed a rather significant performance boost in my ship as of late. Doubled speed and agility, to start with...
OP, please post more detail about your configuration. I frankly don't believe you.

6 points in shields/engines performance
9 points in electro plasma
epte 1 + epts 2
dilithium store hyper injection warp core efficient w->e (edit: incorrect hyper injection WC eps w->e)
zero point energy module
borg space set
the new space traits also come with power system boosts (efficient captain + warp theorist).
I know phantomeight, it's hard to believe. I think I might have to screenshot this.
I'm not sure why its hard to believe. I recently switch from eng to a tac (which by the way an eng can have nearly 125 in all systems now) and with my low rep, no rep gear, and poorly optimized build, I was able to have 125 in both weapon and shield with roughly 70 engines. Granted its an excelsior but the points lost in dropping EPtS2 is made up for by escort weapon power somewhat. I have actually dropped EPtW1 x2 for EPtE1 x2. Now with the same loadout I am sitting at 123 weapon and 117 shield and 90 something engines using EPtX cycling. If I was to get myself a 0-point, a proper warp core and some rep gear, I see this as totally plausible.
I am curious how you are getting there without EPtW though.
There's 125 and there's 125 overcapped...when it comes to Weapon Subsystem Power.
So, you're including your power levels with abilities? Because, I don't have power levels anywhere near that, and I run max skill points in most of the power skills.
9 in Warp Core Efficiency/Potential, Shield Performance, Weapon Performance
6 in Engine Performance
0 in Aux Performance
My power levels run at 125/74/52/40.
I'm curious to know what yours runs at without your EPtX abilities.
You can tool around with http://sto-forum.perfectworld.com/sh...d.php?t=532731 to see what kind of power levels you can crank out.
Don't forget to go custom for the x/15 instead of x/25.
Don't forget to add 2x BOFFs for 2x 7.5 to get the +30 for Efficiency rather than +15.
Etc, etc, etc...
125 in weapons is obtained from all the bonuses and careful adjustment of power system levels. I tend to not waste any power unnecessarily and I don't go over the 125 cap.
On the top of my head, these are my bonuses to weapons power.
+15 from fleet patrol escort
+5 from assimilated module
+1.8 from zero point energy
+3 point starship weapon performance bonus
+bonuses from warp core potential
There is also an extra 10 power obtained from auxiliary systems, which I can distribute however I like.
I'm waiting to get in the game, stuck in the queue so I can screenshot this.
Anyway, take 22 from shield power and 18 from engine and you're lookin at roughly the same numbers you got.
When I was running EPtW1 and EPtS3 on my eng pre-LoR, my power levels were set to 85 weapon and 75 (I think) shield.
Each of these builds are vulnerable to sub nukes though, but that's what you save EM for I suppose :D
