Those Phaser procs

I've been playing KDF as my main for about 4 or 5 months now. I had decided to try my hand at space PvP after getting my new, shiny fleet Tor'khat, only to find myself dead in the water everytime I'm hit by Federation phasers.

Does anyone have any tips for keeping my battlecruiser moving while under fire from phasers?

1) You can also use phasers (point is they are faction agnostic).

2) Put 6 ranks into subsystem repair.

3) I believe a few warp cores can also help deal with this, take a look on the exchange.

Thanks. I use disruptors and chroniton torps and mines. I have 5 ranks in subsystem repair; is there much of a benefit in getting that last rank?

I will look into warp cores :)

Edit: I believe Warp Cores with the [REP] modifier could help.

You can also try the Klingon Honor Guard engines as they have a "Hot-restart" proc that restarts the engines from disabled conditions after a second

Inertial Dampers is another skill you might want to look into, it resists disables as opposed to Subsystem Repair which fixes them. It is a tier 4 skill, however, which makes it expensive to skill into for a generalist build as opposed to a PvP-only build. Personally, I often dismiss Subsystem Repair as it functions based on a percentage of your available crew - which usually drops to minimal levels as soon as you start taking fire.

Inertial Damper bonus skill points are on every set Deflector except KHG, as well as non-unique Standard and Neutrino deflectors.

Engineering Team also fixes disables.
