The new Worf

So, taking a walk around and Qo'noS and the Devs seemed to have updated worf's appearance, I couldn't help to notice the new hair style as well... any chance of these cosmetic updates hitting the rest of the klingons?

They might even get more than the same two uniforms!

They did! Excellent. Worf looked way too old before. He's ~69 which isn't even middle-aged for a Klingon, so this is a good change.

So, Worf joined the Hair Club for Klingons, and he's not just a client, he's the Emperor of the Hair Club!

Klingons were supposed to have shorter lives than Humans. At this point in time, far after TNG-era, Worf would indeed be an older Klingon.

Kor was an older Klingon... at about 150. In the 24-25th centuries, Klingons and Humans alike have much longer life spans than we do now. Worf may be a grandfather (D'Vak, the Admiral in command of Task Force Omega and the U.S.S. Houston, is implied to be the "D'Vak, son of Alexander Rozhenko" mentioned in the Road to 2409), but he's not old.

I would love to have he old ingame worfs hair option.

As to klingons lifespan, it is slightly in excess of 150 years with no apreciatable loss of strength. Klingons due mature faster than humans though with a 8 year child being equal to a 16 year old human child.

As has been stated, The Natural lifespan of a Klingon is greater then a Human, not shorter. Though keep in mind humans also have longer lifespans then they do in present day.

The thing to remember is that Klingons, by nature of their culture and lifestyle, tend to rarely live out there natural lives. More often then not, dying in battle.

Here's an after shot. It's not my best, but it shows the new 'do. His old mugshot is still on the wiki for now.

Edit: Here's a front view image, and here's his face in the contact dialog.
