Congrats Cryptic, Engage!

Despite what I'm sure will be thousands of whiny omg I couldn't log on at 10:01 threads, congrats to Cryptic for getting this beast off the ground this morning.

I've played in releases of Anarchy Online, EvE, Star Wars Galexies, WoW, Pirates of the Burning Sea, and Tabula Rasa (I'm probably missing more), and this has gone pretty smoothly for a head-start release. I mean for reals folks, the 800lb gorilla in the room Blizzard even has delayed restarts from its weekly Tuesday patches, no less entire 24+ hour failures to get people in after major patches, so to get a release off the ground within 2hrs of its planned head-start release time is pretty impressive.

Lots of great work done in the beta, look forward to the many patches to further tweak things in the next few months. Gonna be a fun ride. See you all in space!

At last, sense from a poster :) I am really looking forward to this game, we had to expect a few hiccups on the way. Hell, WoW still goes FUBAR after all this time. Lt Dougie will see you ingame! :D

Cryptic's had some pretty smooth releases from my standpoint. The fact I got on, and through the tutorial only maybe half an hour after the listed time for head-start (and then promptly logged off - I'll let you buggers scrabble over all of the early missions the first day or two before I get back in!), and while their games are never perfect at launch (or even the first few months), they usually do become rock-solid games.

Not the prettiest belle at the launch ball, but definately in the running. :)
