Can't wait!

Not sure what the minimum system requirements are for the Mac version. I have a Mac Book Pro with 4 GB RAM, Snow Leopard OS, and wireless broadband connection (my Win7 desktop PC is the one directly connected to the external modem). Don't remember what the graphics setup is (resolution, memory, etc.).

Definitely looking forward to giving the Mac version of STO a spin and getting myself properly dizzy with delight.

YAY!

I am curious whether the Mac client is a custom coded application? Or is it an adaptation of Wine?

Also, as mentioned above, a list of minimum requirements would be nice. :)

I'll be posting the min. system requirements as soon as I have them.

Cheers,

I have the 2012 Macbook Air with the 2GHz i7 Intel processor and 8GB of RAM and 512GB of flash drive storage. That should be fine

Awesome, thanks Brandon!

If it helps, I'll be able to help with the beta quite a lot. I've got about 12 various models/years/builds of Macs and I'll be happy to test this out on all of them.

I currently play STO on Macs using Bootcamp. I dabbled in Wine a bit, but the experience wasn't desirable, thought I wasn't very proficient at setting that up.

i wouldn't recommend upgrading to maverick. i heard/read on a lot of forums, that its quite buggy. i'd stay on what you are. won't loose anything.

(btw: if you want to upgrade, you go to the app store, search for "maverick" and pick the download. your system will then upgrade it self. BUT: i'd make a backup before that ;) )

thanks for the warning lol, the problem, with upgrading is i have no idea HOW to make a backup....when i try to turn on time machine, it says i have drives or something to put it on
