MES nerfed?
 

I've noticed when using mes in pve on my fed that i still get attacked by mobs. Is this a recent change?

Yep and good riddance. You wont be able to just fly through mobs now to the objective, you will have to fight some of them !!!

also no pvp for fed escorts in lower tiers :-)

the thing is that now it just doesn't work at all and there is no benifit so its not nerfed its broken, as in has no additive qualities to the gameplay. if fed isn't supposed to ever stealth then replace the ability if not fix it, probably one of the most useful leveling abilities hands down and no one can use it.

It is a bit dumb just leaving it in there not working, replace it or at least remove it, save people wasting their time with it.

Why is that bad? If a person choses to avoid a fight while PvEing alone it has nothing to do with you.

Cryptic stated that they expect 80% of your XP will come from missions and 20% of XP will come from combat.

If a person decides to avoid combat they will also be missing out on XP. The key is, it is their choice and has nothing to do with anybody else.

It was seriously OP, glad it got nerfed.

I used MES a ton on my escort in OB, and yes it needed to be toned down a bit. But they more then toned it down. It seems to work on npcs until you get within 8k or so. However in PVP it does absolutely nothing. I had klingons see me from 18k away while I was using MES and they were not even cloaked to get a perspective bonus. Another instance I was the only of 5 feds using MES, and the klingons came in cloaked and primaried me from 10k out.

Can someone clue us newer players in... what does MES stand for?
