Why do you think they offer a lifetime membership? They're hedging their bets against a complete population collapse. They want to wring it out of you early just incase they can't deliver a game that keeps people playing.

Probably not, since I'm enjoying playing and they've fixed a number of things that I had issues with before headstart. Mostly, though, it's because I'm not weighing a little downtime as the end of the ******n world.
