Cruiser for Tactical Captain?
 

What are your thoughts on using a cruiser-class T2 ship for a tactical captain since it has more weapon banks. I know it will be less manueverable but when you're considering that 270 degree+ weapons are available, wouldn't another weapon slot make a big difference in damage output?

The inability to use cannons above Mk II keeps Cruiser DPS in check.

i am playing tactical in a crusier and i love it, i played this during open and part of closed beta. The missing cannons does keep your massive dmg in check but there is nothing from keeping those cannons on until you get something with = or better dps.
