More Variety of NPC ships needed for Exploration Clusters
 
This is not too important, but you need a heads-up.

For Exploration content, such as the Delta Voltanis cluster, you need more variety of NPC ships inside the missions.

Perhaps it is time to develop a random-ship generator along the same lines as your Random Character Generator for aliens?

Yes, I know I can give a reason why everyone has the same ship, but I would like to see more variety along the same lines as your "Make-an-Alien" thingie in the character creator. Heck, you can start with FIVE different ships that are only used for Exploration missions until you have the random ship creator up and running.

Conversely, you can just keep making/modelling alot more ships and possibly use the pieces elsewhere.

Hi Gold-Rush

I strongly agree with this idea. It would really give the exploration missions a more interessting and authentic feeling.

Towards this idea, I would like to recomend removing ground buildings on totaly unexplored planets. That is, if this actualy possible with your random world generator.


Got to praise the good work that has been invested lately. Many things work alot smoother now. Keep up the Good Work Dev's!

I think the random ship generator is a great idea. I also think, there should be some random non-aggressive wild-life on the planets, just a few critters every now and then. It would make it more authentic.

By the way: big thumbs up for the "space-moth cocoon" mission. There should be more missions, where you don't have to go in guns blazing. I mean, that used to be the primary mission of starfleet: peaceful exploration.

I was thinking about the same thing.

Even on Vulcan, when we trek out to the outer areas of the map, we do not see any animals, large or small, moving around. We certainly don't have to attack these, but some more fauna that matches the flora would be great.
