let's call the Klingons OP because they now have GEAR in T1
So MES now removes fed shields same as cloak and Klingons are now granted green MK II gear at creation. Most feds wade into T1 pvp unprepared and not working together, then have a hissy fit when the klingons work well together and kill them all.
One other thing to mention is that a majority of Klingon players learned to work together in CB/OB in a way that feds never had to. Now that gear and cloak are more balanced for most teams, the Klingon skill advantage is becoming apparent.
Let's bring the fedball back, feds... Don't use MES and have no shield.... sit out in the open ready to phaser mash the first one that uncloaks!
I only noticed a difference in the shield.
I can actually survive a few hits now.
If the mediocre newbie gear is an issue, the feds are not prepared enough to pvp.
yesterday, after getting my fed to Lt.cdr. i made a klink char ... just for the heck of it and to try out some pvp ...
i must say...T1 pvp for klingons is stupidly easy ... it reflected pretty much exactly what i encountered as a fed in T1 ... out of a total of roughly 50 matches starfleet won exactly 1.
and yes, the gear makes this even worse in T1 but T2 so far didnt seem that different to me(only played 5 matches as fed).
cloak simply is an insanely powerfull ability cause it lets klingons pick their fights ... that and evasive maneuvers which, combined with energy to engines, gives you a "get away from any fight" freecard ...
So let me get this straight Faithborn and Ocharni because the Klingons get cloak and evasive manuvers Use of engine batteries or whatever else We are over powered?
Lets See here My Fed toon had 2 Blue shields by the time he was level 5 and Where as my Klingon at level 6 has NO WAY to get those same Items unless my fed toon mails them to him, The Items the Klingons do get at start are still only Uncommon (green) And those are disruptor cannons.

Bridge Officer Abilities All Can train same things.
Klingons Teir 1 Ability to cloak and choose when to engage, once engagement has started can not recloak until we are dead or are able to break contact.
Federation Teir 2 Cruisers Escorts and Science Ships
Klingon Teir 2 Raptor Escort and Bird of Prey
Federation Shields 4-6 K Hull 10-20K
Klingon Shields 4-5 K hull 10-16k
Klingon Raptor Same Ability as Teir 1
Federation Escort Mask Energy Signature
Klingon Bird Of Prey Ability to Battlecloak has maximum of 16k hull and 4600 shield unless shield gotten mailed to them from fed toon.
Bridge Officer abilities All can train the same.
As for teir 3 I do not know as I was only there on my Klingon during open beta and the shield still barely reached 5k. I am sure Federation had much better shields thru PvE.
So the Klingons have the ability to decide when the fight begins, and that is a very short advantage considering the playstyle of many federation players (I.E. The Fed Ball)
Someone please explain to me how the Klingon Faction is over powered, We get NO sience ship until Teir 5 and as of yet no Cruiser until Teir 3
Addendum: yes I know they have Promised a cruiser and PvE in the near future but that is Speculated to be atleast 45 Days after launch.
funny that...everyone allways says "but feds get imba blues while klinks get nothing" ... where do you get that ? in T1 i had one blue on my char and that was a science console, the other stuff were the regular pvp gear bought with marks.
also, your numbers are incorrect, 3.6k shields is the corviant i think which has ****** regen. 3.1k on the others if i recall correctly, cant really look it up since im at work.
but...just because feds have better shields doesnt mean i cant take them down easily.
get on his back, decloak, cannons + high yield...jam sensor(or even tractor beam) and his shields and the better part of his hull will be gone by the time he can actually react. also keep in mind superior maneuverability...if a fed outmaneuvers a klingon the klingon is doing something wrong.
tier 2 is actually a bit easier for klingons for a couple of reasons ... fed escorts are squishy at best and the cruiser has crappy maneuverability...and science ships are rare enough not to affect the big picture(i see one in maybe 1 out of 10 games). now add in rapid fire and its the same situation as in T1 ...
i admit that in prolonged fights this evens out but after the first klingon burst chances are they will have the numerical advantage aswell ... the cruiser may be able to hold its own for quite a while but they hardly do any damage that is worth noticing...
I suspect ocne this game luanches things may change a b it right now msot Klink players are prettry experianced, we'll have to see how inexperianced newbie klingons changes this. if it's still a bit over the top we may want to exaine ways to change it, otherwise we run the risk of feddies retreating into FvF content, which is good for neither side
Ive done Space PvP now a lot 5vs5.
95% in a premade.
4 players who can heal/repair themselves and do nice dps and one pure DPS player.
When we decloak and focus on Feds, we usually score one kill pretty fast ( some Feds manage to get away as we engage at 7-8km )
In tier 1 we had 100% win ratio (premade vs pug)
in tier 2 we have 65% win ratio (feds with bluegear is a big problem, and they seem to premade also a lil)
in tier 3 , not started yet.
