what subs does it disable and for how long?

have anyone played with it yet?:D

Shields, weapons and engines. Various amounts depends on level.... You will soon see that the enemy can do it to you as well.

boarding party is brutal, and can really shut you down hard.

Most people don't have the counters for it either.

That's only because they are so slow moving that once you launch them either your target is destroyed or they are shot down .

I just tab target to them and 1 shot them each. Easy enough. Got hit once by them and they took my ability to turn away=(

Heh I recently invested in getting all the team abilities, just because. Tactical team > boarding party :)

Boarding Party feels quite weak to me, In 30 levels I have yet to see someone use a successful boarding party. But then again, I pay attention...;)

You *might* see a critical system disable once in every ten successful boards with all three shuttles, again that is if you are lucky.

Even if it does work it might only disable the system for a fraction of a second before the person uses an ability to fix the damage (any of the teams, all of the emergency abilities).

All in all it feels pretty weak for a slot considering how much harder it is to use, the delays involved and the crew penalty vs something like the beam target subsystem line.

Some text or audio feedback on what your guys are doing/have accomplished would go a LONG way to letting us actually know how effective it is, in the text window would be fine (as part of the OWN combat label) or ideally in a small UI window.
