Open the "Starship Selection"

Have a "Ship Shield" in your inventory. (This may be bugged with other items too, it's just the one I had)

Mouse over the Ship Shield in your inventory. The equipped shield will have the same stats.
Mouse over the ship Shield which is equipped. It will have the real stats.
