02-23-2010, 07:09 AM
I acctually got this idea from the Forum of another MMO RPG I used to play or in fact still do but very rarely since STO came out.
So what do You players listen to ???
Hopefully it won't turn into a thread of "oh man Your taste sux" or "d00d Ima cap Yo @ss for listening to that".
Just a fun way for us to share our music taste and maybe pick up a few tips and find music we might have missed but turn up to like.
I guess this is a leftover interest from my days as a DJ, when I still didn't have any grey hairs.
Here are some I listen to these days.
All have links to YouTube if You are curious to listen to any of them. Just hover mouse over them.

James Horner - The Ludlows
(from the Movie Legends of the Fall with Brad Pitt, Anthony Hopkins, Aidan Quinn)
Many instrumental Version on YouTube by people who just sit and play it at their piano or synth's. James Horner is definetly one of my favourite Movie composers and seem to often have a Celtic Feeling to his music. He also made Braveheart Soundtrack.
David Arkenstone - The Dragon's Breath

James Horner - For The Love Of A Princess
James Horner - Braveheart Theme Song
F R E E D O M

Faye Wong - Broken Hearted Women
It was probably since on my first back-pack trip around S/E Asia, many years ago, in the early 90's, this song was a huge hit and was played wherever I travelled it has stuck in my mind
FunTwo - Performing A Rock Version of Johann Pachelbel's Canon, Arranged By Jerry C
(this guy just sits infront of his PC and play solo on electric Guitar Live, it acctually got over 4 million viewings and he was even invited to perform on Asian Tv-Shows all over. Became a Superstar from this YouTube movie, many has after this tried to copy him)
Just Music I Like No Specific Genre:
Audioslave - Cochise
(just proves that once in a while there can still come real music with real instruments in the 2000's)

, and the instrumentalists from Rage Against The Machine
(Tim Commerford, Tom Morello, & Brad Wilk).
Papa Roach - Last Resort
Lok - Lok Står När Dom Andra Faller
Temple of The Dog - Hungerstrike
Red Hot Chilli Peppers - Hollywood
Acctually the first 12" I ever bought by Red Hot Chilli Peppers, A Cover Of An Old Meter Song. I coulnd't find the 12" version on YouTube this was the cloestr I could find but it's only instrumental.

The Cult - Wildflower
Avril Lavigne - Innocence
Mothers Finest - Oh Baby Love
Mothers Finest - Baby Love Live
Parliament Funkadelic - Red Hot Mama

(one of the 80's greatest composers and artist that fluently played over 17 instruments, on Sign of the Times Album he played all instruments, live he used artists like Sheila E and others)
Saw his concerts live from 1986, Parade infront of 5000 people, where I managed to grab a Paisley Park Designed Tamburine he threw out to the audience, until early 90's infront of alot bigger crowds, including the Sign "☮" The Times and LoveSexy Tours.
Prince - Solo By The Piano Live Medley

Manfred Mann's Earth Band - For You
Andrew Loyd Webber - I Don't Know How To Love Him

(was used as a Love theme in the old 80's Movie Somewhere In Time with Christopher Reeve, Jane Seymore And Christopher Plummer)
B - Movie - Nowhere Girl 12" Version
(this old synth/independant/underground song has stuck in my mind as i was a DJ back then and a DJ friend of mine and me made this a huge hit in the clubs we played in back then, in fact he was the one introducing this song to me, it acctually became an underground hit in many clubs in Europe back in the early 80's)
Hypnosis - Pulstar
(old classic italo disco/synth track from 1983)
