Resulted in a joke. The Shuttle Enterprise....First shuttle....never actually flew. It was perched up ontop of a modified 747...and used for glide tests.....She currently resides in the Smithsonian.....

This time... We must INSIST that the actual mission vehicle that actually launches into space, is called Enterprise.

This always bothered me. Star Trek fans demanded it....but NASA kinda shafted the fans...they agreed to christen the first shuttle Enterprise....but never intended to use it as an orbiter. Was just a prototype for testing how the design worked in freeflight (landing phase)
