I just finished off the Chulan system patrol. For those who either haven't done it or don't remember it, it tasks you with finding some asteroids that are emitting a hazardous form of radiation and, for once, not blowing them to smithereens.
What made me laugh was that the substance fingered as causing the problem was named as cyanacrylate. Cyan
acrylate happens to be the adhesive monomer in most superglues. I've got a bottle of the stuff on my desk
Still, this is a universe in which parsnips eat planets and amoeba measure several thousand miles across. I suppose radioactive superglue is quite tame by comparison...
