Dear Lord man, what part of the highlighted parts do you NOT understand? Seriously.. the man agrees that the 45 degree pitch limit is cumbersome and tedious and has said he's putting the increase to 85 on the to-do list.

Fancy manuevers in Star Trek were used infrequently for the "COOL!" factor. The current system depicts space combat as it has been generally depicted on Star Trek for the past 45 years. It has the "Trek" artistic feel to it.
