Actually I could imagine changing the system to draining one, but with more areas.
Weapons - energy weapon capacitor, weapon functions (like firing torpedoe) etc.
Engines - maneuvers
Shields - shield transfers, shield hardening
Auxilitary systems - emergency battery, jack of all trades energy for boosting other systems
Sensors - various sci abiltieis + bonus to accuracy perhaps
Deflector - various sci abilties + bonus to defence perhaps
But current system is not ready for aux drain...
Imagine as science captain, if my powers would drain aux, all my captain abilities would be perma at its lowest level. That doesnt seem to be fair, compared to tacticals or engineers.
