# 7 Science Admiral's Playbook

Scientific Aptitude is a long-cooldown, long-duration HoT that also offers some resistance to crowd control powers. Unfortunately, the nerfbat has struck scientists the hardest, which has always been the case in STO's 17 months of existence thus far. More nerfs to your crowd control abilities are coming soon if the ground PvPers get their way.

In the high-damage environment, attempting to heal with the captain alone is beyond human reflexes. The Tribble community failed to point out the fact that quick-selection of BOs cannot be done with keybinds (contrary to the case of 5-player teams which may be targeted quickly via keybinds), so any attempts by the player to heal outright by him/herself will fail. Any heals carried by the player are best used when BO heals are on cooldown (which is typically the case, so using a Medic kit despite this isn't a bad idea).

Try to lockdown opponents with Electro-Gravitic Field, immediately followed up by Exothermic Induction Field on enemies. Hyperonic Radiation should be cast on the same mob as your Nanoprobe Infestation. And as you can probably see just by looking at the tooltip, Sonic Pulse only works on mobs that are close to you.

Medic x2
Shield x2

In the high-damage environment, a high-healing away team offers the best chance of survival. Do what you can to draw agro away from your BOs.

Safety Inferno:
Kit: Physicist

Running a little thin on healing.

Max Inferno:
Kit: Physicist

The ultimate offensive, with only your [Large Hypo] to save you. 20 exposes! Not recommended due to lack of healing.

Snow Willow:
Kit: Physicist
Turret x2
Medic
Shield
While a Tree play by name and by primary function, this strange play also includes an exposer (the captain). Do not use against Borg.

Snow Pine:
Kit: Medic
Turret x3
Shield
Not recommended because the player is healing. Do not use against Borg.

Safety Pine:
Kit: Physicist
Turret x3

While a Tree play by name and by primary function, this strange play also includes an exposer (the captain). Do not use against Borg.

Safety Redwood:
Kit: Medic
Turret x4
Not recommended because the player is healing and shield heals are limited. Do not use against Borg.
