Is it wrong to think that the Occupy movement is part of the 1%? IMO, the 99% is the people that actually are productive members of society. The people that don't choose to be homeless for a few weeks and support their family or go to school to give themselves a better life. The problem is that the 99% can be whatever we want it to be. At its core the occupy movement is simple discrimination.
And for the record, we don't have to worry about mind controlled soldiers besides the ones that already exist. Ideologies are powerful mind control techniques used by terrorists, religions, and governments. However, no amount of mind control will make a person do something that is against their central beliefs. I have no reason to worry about a relative killing me from being mind controlled. Killer robots on the other hand are another matter. Besides there are far more effective ways to control the population. Give people the illusion that they control their own lives and the people are relatively content. Ineffectual protests are a part of the illusion since it shows that people can peacefully rebel against the establishment and think that they have accomplished something. Not saying that this illusion exists, but showing an effective method for population control.
