One thing that has never been really explained in much detail is “Critical Severity”
For example, let’s say you have two sets of dual heavy cannons.
I will use the generic term “flavor” to describe a type energy being used.
One set is rated is as +30 “Critical Severity” with a 396 energy “flavor” damage output.
The other one is rated as +70 “Critical Severity” with a 388 energy “flavor” damage output.
At first glance it would seem better to have the set the 396 energy damage output, verses the 388 energy damage output.
However with the +70 “Critical Severity” 388 energy damage output set, would you not in fact be delivering a greater punch despite a reduced damage output?
Simply put more killing that comes from less energy damage? Am I correct?
