It's still fun, there's lotsa new stuff (better and worse), I am in your shoes, been back a month... I can say that my opinion is deteriorating rapidly... but if you're a lifer, go for it and get caught up...

It really is a beautiful game, I just wish it's makers saw that, as they are kind treating it like it's a has-been already...
