OK I run:
Tac Team, High Yield, Rapid Fire, Omega
Torp Spread, Scatter Volley, Beta
Buying a ship with 3 tac stations and than deciding not to bother using the ensign tac station doesn't make sense. Why did you buy the ship with the cloaking device only to than not use it? Coming out of cloak you get a 15 second 15% increase to DPS. Nothing should live longer than 15s if you do it right.
You have to be the only person I've ever seen complaining about a ship turning too well, that's not criticism just your the first.
I appreciate that this ship is just simply not for you, but asking what the advantage is when you disqualify the turn rate, the cloaking device and the extra ensign Tac slot makes the answer nothing.
When in reality the answer is the turn rate, the cloaking device and the extra tac ensign slot.
What's the difference between the Advanced Escort and the Fleet Escort. I'm not going to use the ensign slot on either of them and I'm only going to run 2 Engineering and 2 Science Consoles and the Assimilated Console. See I've made the question so that the only answer is that there is not a difference.
A word of advice, do a bit of research on the next ship you intend to buy, because it seems that you jumped in without looking and got something completely incompatible with your playstyle. And judging by the amount of em I see in Elite STF they are very popular.
Apologies if this comes off like a you idiot noob rant, it's not meant to.
