As we can see there are 4 "N/A" for Starfleet, just one "N/A" for KDF.
I wonder: why in Starfleet there are so few kind of ships?
With this question in my mind and some effort I've created a new kind of ship, fairly canon and not uber.
I've called this class "Command Cruiser", even if it is not a cruiser and there is also little to command.
But let's use this name for ease of use.
The "Command Cruiser" should be a kind of ship available for all the tiers, not just the high ones, anyway I will use as working example a "Rear Admiral, Upper Half" ship.

These are the stats.

Beside the "Mission Module" (see below) the "Command Cruiser" it is exactly as it seems: a jack-of-all trades ship.
Neither too cruiser nor too escort, maybe a science ship with less tricks, more firepower and resistance.

And now the "Mission Module"
The "Mission Module" should be a true mission module, not something to add character to your ship.
In my humble opinion the module should be something like... Well...
Some example!
  • 1 forward weapon mounting slot able to use dual cannon
  • 1 tactical console
  • 1 scientific console
  • 1 engineering console
  • 2 devices slot
  • 1 Ensign Tactical BO
  • 1 Ensign Science BO
  • 1 Ensign Engineer BO
  • 1 assault drone (a little pet with some battle capability)
  • 1 science drone (a little pet with some science capability)
  • 1 engineering drone (a little pet with some engineering capability)

I suppose that in the Cryptic store there should be some more modules with cool capabilities (cloacking device, transwarp, assault phaser, point defence etc.)
The module should be swapped with another module while not in Red Alert.

I know that Cryptic seldom hear new ship proposal, but if you like the Command Cruiser (and, especially, the idea behind the Command Cruiser) maybe, in due time, we'll fly with something like it.
