Since we're dealing with working with artifacts here, I don't see any reason the rather unloved Geologist specialization shouldn't be a boon to success. As for the new 6h "social" ones, honestly, I think those are more suited to Development Lab Scientists (the title seems to indicate they work in social and/or behavioral science anyway), and perhaps even Counselors could be useful here. Might be nice to get a little more use out of counselors than the inconvenient and underwhelming Counseling Appointment missions and picking up colonists....
